UCL : DORTMUND, ATLETICO EDGES FIRST LEG TIE

Borussia Dortmund took a first leg advantage at home after edging Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at the Signal Iduna Park.

Erling Haaland continued his good start to life at Dortmund putting the German side ahead in the 69th minute after a goalless first half. However, PSG forward Neymar got the away side on level terms six minutes later thanks to a Mbappe assist.

Haaland found the back of the net again thirteen minutes from time given Lucien Favre’s men an early advantage in the two legged tie.

At the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, an early Sual close range strike was all Atletico needed to defeat defending champion Liverpool 1-0 to set up an interesting return leg in two weeks time at Anfield.
